Synopsis
In 1930s Tokyo, Sada Abe—a former geisha turned maid—begins a passionate affair with Kichizō Ishida, the owner of the establishment where she works. Initially clandestine, their liaison gradually becomes exclusive, obsessive, and destructive. As desire consumes them, the couple cuts themselves off from the outside world, spiraling into a realm where love, possession, and death become inextricably intertwined.
