Holding a degree in business engineering from KUL (Leuven), Simon spent nearly a decade in the private sector before shifting his focus to directing commercials. As a self-taught filmmaker, he directed and produced over fifty films over the course of six years for clients such as BNP Paribas, Carrefour, Hush Puppies, and Bridgestone.
In 2016, he joined Octopods Films as a director, and has since become an associate producer at the company. He also serves as a board member and treasurer for the ARRF and, as of 2024, is a member of the UPFF+.
His most recent short film as a director, *DIVERSION*, was selected for 55 festivals, including the Brussels Short Film Festival, Screamfest LA, the Rhode Island International Film Festival, LA Shorts, BIFFF, RazorReel, and FrightFest UK.
He is currently developing a thriller set in the world of finance with Octopods Films, as well as a crime drama with Outwest.
