Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are unfortunately forced to cancel the screening of Lady Snowblood scheduled for this Sunday, November 1st.
But we certainly aren’t going to leave a gap in our Japanese film lineup!
We have decided to replace it with Mermaid’ Legend by Toshiharu Ikeda—a film we consider every bit as remarkable, and one that fits perfectly into the world of the ARFF.
A dark, sensual, and violent thriller, Mermaid Legend gradually steers its narrative toward an increasingly radical form of vengeance, culminating in an absolutely memorable final act. It is a unique and powerful film from the director of Angel Guts: Red Porno —which is also being screened at the festival this year.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this last-minute alternative, and we hope many of you will join us to discover it.
Those who have already purchased a ticket for Lady Snowblood may, of course, use it for this new screening. If this change to the program does not suit you, you may also request a refund.
